What level is this for?
Upper beginner. You can read Hangeul and you're comfortable with everyday polite Korean: saying what you like and want, talking about the past and future, and giving reasons with “because.” If the five sentences near the top of this page felt hard, start with Your First 100 Korean Patterns (Level 1) instead.
I have Your First 100 Korean Patterns. Will I repeat anything?
No. Level 2 picks up where Level 1 leaves off. Some patterns include a short tip that points back to a similar Level 1 pattern and shows the difference.
Do I need Level 1 first?
Not if you already know the basics. If you learned them from a class, an app or another book, you can start here.
Is there romanization?
No. At this level, you’ll be reading Hangeul. Instead, every example has a word-by-word line, and when a word sounds very different from how it’s spelled, the actual pronunciation is shown in Hangeul.
What format is it?
A 231-page PDF. Read it on your phone, tablet or computer, or print it at home. It's a digital book, not a physical one.
How long will it take?
